I already checked/done: Automatic Transmission 4 spd. Have not done anything but drain out all of the fluid...now have to get some back in and just go back to changing oil. Also, removed the transmission oil filter

More Info required Are you need to know how to refill or just how much & what type?

Addition Basically - I took the filter off and now just need to know where to refill it back up and if I can get a good little oil looking AT filter at NAPA, etc.

Answer Trans Filter Number should be 38325AA032, but I would not think it would be readily available as it is not a typical R & R.
Refill would be thru the Dip Stick Tube & capacity is apprx 9.8 - 10.1 US qt.
I would start with 8 quarts if all was drained & top off.
Fluid Type:
Genuine Subaru Automatic transmission Fluid Type-HP IDEMITSU ATF HP, Castrol Transmax J, Penzoil ATF-J
Note : Using any non-specific type of automatic transmission fluid could result in damage inside the transmission.
